use pyrelords pouchs they only cost 2k-3k and give 10 more exp to any log burnt they last for 40 mins and req 46 sum so these are worth it!

• ring of fire

must have completed all fired up but it is worth it. it gives 2% more to each log and take 10 mins to get it 62fm is req

• flame gloves

flame gloves are like ring of fire tho you get 5% per log if you wear ring of fire and flame gloves but only 2% more if you wear these alone.79 fm is req

Yeah, maples are cheap, they're like what 50 - 54 gp a pop? 20K maples is like 1m, and trust me, that's not bad, especially compared to yews/magics, plus 1m isn't much and you get a lot of logs for it. It's really cheap xp. Burn them with the Ring of Fire and you'll have even more cheap xp. Ring of Fire isn't hard to get either. Now, use Flame Gloves AND Ring of Fire, and you've got even MORE xp from the logs! Firemaking isn't hard to level in if you're using the Ring of Fire and maples. I do that and I'm already at 97, and I'm about to get 98. I should get 99 tomorrow in fact, if I weren't taking a break to train defence. Anyway, I don't even use the Flame Gloves and look where I've gotten! You just have to be patient but you actually gain exp pretty fast. Anyway, Firemaking is a pretty easy skill to get 99 in. If you get impatient or bored, I find it helps to make patterns/messages with your fires. It's pretty fun to be honest. Best Firemaking places for me are above the West Varrock bank and below the Seers' Villiage bank. Anyways, just have fun with it! And good luck getting 99!!!

haha yea my fingers are starting to get there. And good luck!!!! I'm taking a break to get 70 defence before I go back to firemaking, so I can wear my awesome outfit that goes with the fm cape! But I should get 70 pretty soon and I'll have no problem making the money for the outfit. I got to 67 defence last night so I should be getting there pretty soon, can't wait cause I want to get back to fm!!!
